Update Day 2: Bloglovin' Problem

I went through the day trying to reconnect my blog to my Bloglovin' account to no avail. My blog name changed hence the necessity of reconnecting it. I somehow can't find my blog anywhere to the point where I might just use Wordpress.

Update: Day 1

Today I am working on the subscription and Bloglovin' for this blog. I am having difficult time claiming this blog on Bloglovin' but I have done this before. We had a scheduled blackout that lasted from morning till mid afternoon so I couldn't work on it then. I'm actually playing State of Survival while doing this. We are having our capital clash and my game is running on Bluestacks while I type away.

Created this post to see if Bloglovin' works.

Reintroducing the Blog: The Random Things I Like

 Reintroducing the Blog:

The Random Things I Like

Welcome Dearest,

This is Jesha. From the old comes the new. I have been working on redoing my blog for months now without success. I learned that there are so much to do from deadlinks to navigation issues that has to be addressed but I am deciding to slowly do the rehabilitation of this blog because it is important to me. I will not let the same thing happen in the past where I created this and never posted only to come years later and be active then disappear again. NO! I refuse to do that again. I am driven to post content at least once a month until I get my groove back because I enjoy writing and truthfully find it therapeutic. This is a means for me to express myself and I will not allow my self doubt to hinder me any longer.

After writing so many 'I'm going to restart blogging' post I assure you that this is not that type of update but a promise to myself that I will be writing. I will write because I love it even if no one ever reads it because I have always loved to put pen on paper.

Why is this blog named the way it is?

If you've visited during my hiatus you will learn that I have changed the name thrice from Jesha is a Bookworm to Crazy Booklover back and landing on The Random Things I Like. At first I wanted to have a catchy moniker because I believe that would interest more views. And I did want exposure on my blog. I had this blog listed on my skills for my online resume after all. But after pondering and sitting in front of my laptop for hours waiting for inspiration to come it never did. I had nothing to say about the book I'd just finished. I could review it but it did not tickle my fancy. So I went back to the drawing board and after a month I saw on WhatCulture.com that they had a space there for freelance writers. I signed up for that but couldn't send the article I'd written. I did not have the courage to send my application out of fear that I wouldn't be hired anyways. I wanted to apply when I was sure I had something to show. Which is why I'm here. Practicing my craft. That experienced opened my eyes on a reality I didn't see. I was actually invested in other things and wanted to write about that! So why limit my blog to book reviews when I had vast interest. That is when the blog name was formed.

What will the blog be about?

As the new name says it is random things I like. The topics I want to write about. And there is so much of that. I always sit and write articles that never get published why let them rot away in the storage of my computer memory. I will continue writing about books but I have decided to expand my horizon beyond one topic. I'd rather not limit myself.

Still I plan to talk about television. I watched so many series from K-drama, Lakorn, to Western series. I have dabbled on Turkish dramas here and there so that will be a fun thing to discuss. Wrestling is also something I enjoy. I have always been a fan. I used to sit with my family watching WWE but that slowly grew outside one company with my grandfather believing that whatever was good was meant to be watched😂. I might post music here although I am not musically inclined. I practiced piano until college but I haven't played in years.

Who will be posting here?

Mostly me but I am open to my friends and family posting on the blog, I am striving to consistently post content on the blog. 1 blog post at least a month in order to get my creative juices flowing.

I have a camera that hasn't been used since the pandemic so I am hoping that having a blog would make me use my camera again. My parents would be disappointed if they learn that I did not make good use of an investment they'd purchased. I bought the camera for school because I was always borrowing from people or the school and after sometime it became apparent that it was a good investment. It was handy with me being able to shoot family event but I honestly haven't used it since the pandemic.

What happens to old post?

I know I want to repost those but I will have to fix the content. There are dead links to consider and the tags on my old blog wasn't very good. The navigation was difficult and they lacked a certain umph on them. I will slowly released those in the coming months but it will be a long process.
